A note from the owners of Eco Collective about returns

Dear customers,

We kindly ask that you be thoughtful with your purchasing and your returns. We are a small business focused on zero waste. We are now offering free returns within 30 days because your satisfaction is our top priority! But please keep in mind that every shipment uses resources. We purchase carbon offsets for every shipment, including returns, to help compensate for this, but the most sustainable option is to shop carefully. 

We thoughtfully select the products that we sell in our store, and we pride ourselves in providing thorough product descriptions and promptly answering any questions you may have about our products to help you shop carefully.

While we don’t accept returns past 30 days or on used or open items, we encourage sharing products that don’t work out for you with friends and family, giving to neighbors through Buy Nothing, donating to a local secondhand shop, or selling through services like Poshmark, Facebook Marketplace, or something similar, to ensure that items don’t go to waste :)

Return Policy

We offer free returns within 30 days of fulfillment* on unused, unopened items. If you would like to return something you ordered, please email us at support@ecocollective.com with a description of what you would like to return and why, and confirmation that it is unused and unopened, within 30 days of fulfillment*. Once approved, we will issue you a free return label (for shipping/delivery orders), or you may bring in your return during our store pickup hours.

Return packages must be shipped within 7 days of when we issue the return label. Your refund will be issued to your original payment method once we have received and inspected the returned item(s). If an item is used or damaged, you will not be refunded for it.

Shipping fees are nonrefundable; your refund will not include the original cost of shipping.

Item arrived damaged or defective

If you received an item that was damaged in transit, or defective, please email us a photo of the damaged or defective item within 14 days of fulfillment*, and we will issue you a replacement.

Please keep in mind that some items in our store have normal variance and may not look exactly as the picture shows. Please read the descriptions carefully.

*What is the fulfillment date?

  • Online orders with shipping: 
    • Fulfillment date is the date we ship out the package, on which date the customer will get a shipping confirmation email.
  • Local delivery orders:
    • Fulfillment date is the date delivered.
  • Store pickup orders:
    • Fulfillment date is the date the order is picked up.
