How to use and care for your reusable eye masks
We'd like you to meet the latest addition to our sustainable self care line - reusable eye masks! These silicone masks are a reusable, earth-friendly alternative to the disposable sheet masks that have taken the beauty world by storm. Ours come in a reusable tin and you guys have been LOVING them. We wanted to take a second to explain what makes them different from other masks and share a little bit about how to use and take care of them.
Fun fact: They can be more effective than the single-use eye masks because those disposable sheet masks or under-eye masks tend to be absorbent, soaking up a lot of the product that's meant for your skin. They're known for fitting poorly on the face, and since you never know how your skin will react to a new product or mask, the reusable masks are a great way to increase the benefits and intake of a product you already know and love. You can use them with any serum or moisturizer and see a radiant glow.
Our masks can be used with any serum, cream or moisturizer, so they act as a power boost to the products you already know and love, and they help you get more out of those products with every use.
The medical-grade silicone doesn't absorb any of the product itself. Instead, it works to attract water, bringing hydration to the top layer of your skin, which visibly plumps and reduces fine lines. They also act as a sort of "lock" against evaporation, helping your skincare products to soak deeper into your skin while you have the masks on. Trust us, you'll see the difference when you take them off.
We love to use them while we're getting ready, making breakfast, taking our vitamins, filling out our daily journals, and going about our routines. Take it one step further and pair it with our bamboo hair towel and you've got the ultimate hands-free self care moment.
The fern design is inspired by the luscious rainforests we have here in the Pacific Northwest, and they were hand drawn by our in-house designer. So much love went into our reusable eye masks, and we can't wait to hear how you like them.

How to use:
First, cleanse your face and moisturize your skin. Then add a small amount of your favorite serum or eye cream directly to the under-eye area and wait a couple seconds for it to get tacky. Place one mask under each eye and let sit for 10-20 minutes to seal in the treatment.
You can pair them with pretty much any moisturizer, serum or eye cream. The mask will help the product soak deeper into your skin and draw moisture to the surface to make your skin appear more hydrated. You don't necessarily want to use them with an oil based product as this can wear down silicone more quickly, but it's okay to do every once in awhile.
How to wash:
Rinse the masks with warm water and a gentle soap - again, you don't want to use anything oil or clay based as this can slowly break down the silicone over time (sadly, this also means you shouldn't wash them with your beloved face soap bars!). Allow them to drip dry for a moment and store in your case to be used again and again.
How to store:
Skin-side down on the reusable clear plastic sheet inside your tin. The case helps keep them free of dust and the storage sheet helps keep them sticky.
We've heard vinegar restores the natural properties of silicone, so if they ever start to be not-so-sticky, you could try a soak :)
