We love this luxurious, reef safe, non toxic, non nano mineral sunscreen as a daily face moisturizer with essential, water resistant sun protection. With nourishing ingredients like cocoa butter and hemp seed oil and a subtle tint, it leaves a dewy glow and no white cast - creating a perfect natural look or base for makeup!
It's perfect whether you're hitting the beach, heading to work or running errands. Packed with biologically active antioxidants, vitamins, minerals and extracts, it continues protecting your skin long after environmental exposure. It comes in a travel-friendly lightweight tin that's both reusable and recyclable.
The thick creamy formula, similar to a body butter, blends into the skin smoothly. The subtle, sheer, medium-toned tint allows it to blend into most skin tones - the tint essentially functions to counteract the white cast that mineral sunscreens sometimes leave.

Additional information about the beeswax used:
Certified Organic Beeswax is produced naturally in honeycomb structures by worker bees. It acts as a surfactant forming a protective barrier on the surface of the skin. The barrier provides a film of protection against irritants while still allowing the skin to breathe. Beeswax acts as an emulsifier and offers unmatched environmental defense against wind, salt water and sun. It is removed from the hive in a way that neither the bees nor the hive are harmed. This ingredient has been verified and certified both as a Natural Ingredient by the Natural Products Association and NON GMO by the Non GMO Project.
Reusable and recyclable metal tin.

My morning skincare routine is a mist of the rosewater toner and then a few drops of argan oil (both from the bulk section) to moisturize my face and then I layer on a small amount of this tinted SPF. It's kind of shiny at first but then absorbs into my skin and is very moisturizing. It gives me a dewy look which I like. I have pretty fair skin and the product looks dark in the tin but the the color doesn't really show up on my skin, whereas the face & body sunscreen (non tinted version) makes me look more pale. It doesn't substitute for makeup like the Avasol one does because it's not very pigmented. This picture is about 20 mins after applying.
Disclaimer: I am a co-owner of Eco Collective. I used to regularly purchase this product myself and loved it so much that I curated it for our shop to share with you :)
I've purchased this exact product before but from a different store, so when I bought this from ecocollective, I already knew what it would be like. The size of this tin is perfect - small enough to throw in my bag when I'm headed outside, whether to the beach/lake or just to the park for a picnic, but large enough to have a good amount of product inside (and so it doesn't get lost inside the bag :) I also now use my old empty tin in my bathroom to hold my aluminum crystal deodorant & shampoo bar from ecocollective! The product itself goes a long way - it's a really thick texture, so I've found that I don't need to use much of it to cover my face and shoulders. I used to use this as my everyday face moisturizer a few years ago, but it's definitely too thick and a little greasy for that, even for my dry Black skin. Now, I use a different daily moisturizer that has aloe vera (which has a weak natural SPF I think? Need to do more research), and for days when I'll be outside, I layer this tinted moisturizer/sunscreen on top, especially for my cheekbones/nose/shoulders where I burn the most. This layering technique works MUCH better for me and my skin. The sunscreen has a unique but nice smell, and the tint is very subtle, blending in to my skin nicely (note: I'm a mixed race Black person with medium skin tone). I liked this product enough to buy it twice, but I will probably try out some other ones when this one runs out.
I loved that this sunscreen was not in plastic and was searching for something lightweight for my daily use on my face. Unfortunately, I'm not sure that I would buy again. The tint is good, although it looks dark at first, it blends in to a nice neutral color (I have a fair complection). But the feel of the product is thick, oily and sticky. I have definitely used better all-natural sunscreens. It's wearable but not great.
