These upcycled fabric face masks are made to provide additional health protection during the COVID-19 pandemic. Please wear one to keep us all safe! You can also wear an optional matching scrunchie to keep your style on point 💯. For every mask purchased, one more mask is donated to a person in need!
Wearing a mask is a sign of respect and care for those around you (it protects others in the case you're asymptomatic), and is now required in many public spaces. We recommend following all guidelines from the CDC on how to protect yourself and others, including wearing a mask over your mouth and nose when around others, washing hands (and sanitizing) often, disinfecting surfaces, and avoiding close contact with others.
These face masks and scrunchies are made locally in Seattle with deadstock fabric and upcycled un-sellable clothing by Left Pocket, a woman-owned thrift & handmade goods small business, focused on giving new life to old clothes and fabrics.
The masks are a classic design - made with two pleats, two breathable layers of fabric and adjustable elastic ear loops. There's an inner pocket where you can insert an optional additional filter, such as a coffee filter or extra piece of fabric, if you'd like.
Prints are all limited edition, as they are made with deadstock fabric and/or upcycled clothing. If you see a print you love, get it while you can!
We'll do our best to post photos of each new print we get in so that you can select your print preference - but if not, you'll get a mystery fabric when you order "mixed print."
Adult and kids sizes available.
Ear loops are adjustable.
Use and care
We recommend washing your mask before the first wear. They're machine washable and ideally air dried to prolong the life of your mask. Located on the inside center there is a small hole where you can insert an optional filter and have encouraged our customers to use compostable coffee filters cut to size.
According to the CDC, "You could spread COVID-19 to others even if you do not feel sick. The cloth face cover is meant to protect other people in case you are infected. Everyone*, should wear a cloth face cover in public settings and when around people who don’t live in your household, especially when other social distancing measures are difficult to maintain."
Wear the mask over your nose and mouth when you're out in public or around people you don't live with. Form the wire at the top to be snug against the bridge of your nose to improve effectiveness and prevent glasses from fogging, and adjust the ear loops so the mask fits snug (but not too tight) around your face.
The CDC recommends that you "continue to keep 6 ft distance between yourself and others. The cloth face cover is not a substitute for social distancing."
*Cloth face coverings should not be placed on young children under age 2, anyone who has trouble breathing, or is unconscious, incapacitated or otherwise unable to remove the mask without assistance.

I bought the Watermelon and the Bee mask and schrunchie set. They are very comfortable and don't fall away from my face. I wear mine at work for 8+ hours a day at work and no adjustment for comfort need to be made. I often get compliments on the matching set and the colors stay vibrant after washing.
