I have used this product for several days now and am loving it! It goes on so smooth when I wet it a little in my sink.
I would compare it’s effectiveness to other natural aluminum free deodorants and have not noticed any BO smell, I am a recreational athlete so this is important! It won’t keep you from sweating but neither do any of the other natural deodorants. Best of all this is plastic free!!
I am absolutely amazed at how well this stone worked for me. Even with standard and natural deodorant I would have a sour smell by the end of the day. I've been using this stone for a few weeks and I don't smell at all. It's been fantastic!
Been using the stone for about a week and I've been enjoying it. I still sweat, but I am considerable less stinky with the stone. It's nice to have a deo that is low-waste and doesn't stain my clothes. Like others have mentioned, it's best to use the stone right out of the shower. If I forget and dry my pits I'll spritz them with a little rosewater or witch hazel to apply it. Appreciate the super fast shipping too.
So a few months ago I stopped using antiperspirant cold turkey and started using this. At first it didn't work. I gave it probably three weeks and smelled pretty bad. I tried a couple other natural deodorants afterward and my body odor only seemed to get worse. Finally I decided to give this stone another try and now it works so amazingly well! I think my body just needed extra time to "detox," whatever that means, and was probably working from the get go, I just smelled extra bad during that three week time frame!
I quit antiperspirants because they made my armpits super itchy, and so far I've had absolutely no irritation with this product! I apply it to wet armpits straight out of the shower so I don't need to run the stone under water. Can't recommend this product enough!
I get the hype. My underarm skin peels with just about every single commercial deodorant I've tried. This stone is amazing and the peeling hasn't happened once. I apply it right after a shower, and it keeps me dry for a large portion of the day. I do have to touch up with Tom's sometimes, but not as much as I was expecting to. Great little stone!
I love these soaps-- I got one for each of our bathroom sinks and they're both really nice. I especially love the smell of the blue clay and patchouli. They're very smooth and suds up very nicely. I will be repurchasing when I run out of soap again.
I always appreciate that Eco Collective stocks local eco-concious brands that I likely wouldn't have heard of otherwise. Thank you for introducing me to Flourish Botanicals!
It’s hard for me to find bars of body soap that don’t leave a residue after I rinse off. This soap smells so good and I love how it exfoliates my skin. Definitely recommend!
I love trying bar soap from many local and small businesses & I love this bar. Beautiful presentation with the flowers on top, just like in the photo. Lathers very well, smells amazing but not too strong on the body afterwards. Been enjoying using it to shave with my ECO new safety razor!
In the past, I used liquid soap and am really happy I made the change to a beautiful, high quality, and sustainable alternative. The smell is nice and held its shape well, lasting us several months. It may be pricier than what I would normally spend, but well worth it.
I bought the eucalyptus & shea butter soap and it smells amazing! It's effective but not drying as a body soap. The corners/edges do make it a little difficult to apply to your body at first but I'm sure they will round off after a little more use. I can't wait to buy more!
The absorption of this tiny cloth is crazy!
I only bought one for me as I bought others to give us gifts. I’m super excited to gift these now that I know how useful they are. I used mine for wiping down the counters and it left no streaks. I washed dishes with it, dried dishes, cleaned my fridge. They are much easier to use than a dishrag because of the size. All I had to do between jobs was rinse it out in a little soapy water. I’ll be replacing all of my dishrags with these eventually. Highly recommend it!
Love ‘em. Fun patterns. Great gifts. Thanks!
I use these all the time instead of sponges, rags, or paper towels for wiping counters and surfaces. They don't smell, they stay sturdy, and they can be cleaned and sanitized to extend their life even further.
I love these for mopping up spills, drying dishes, and cleaning countertops. They seem much more sanitary than dish/cleaning rags and don't carry a musty smell.
I've used this a few times now since receiving and while I'm slowly getting used to the product, I do feel better about knowing I've reduced my plastic consumption! Like others have noted, these tablets will not foam up which is disappointing. I checked with my dentist and they said to always use a toothpaste with fluoride, so be sure to get the tablets with fluoride! Or ask your dentist for the best option for you!
It feels pretty much impossible to find a zero-waste toothpaste option that includes fluoride. Since my dentist told me I should be using toothpaste with fluoride in it, I have been on the hunt for a low waste option and these are the best ones by far!
I’ve been waiting anxiously for any of the toothpaste tab brands to come out with a fluoridated version for u.s. customers. To my knowledge, these are the first and I love them! I’ve tried other, non-fluoridated, tabs (lush and etee) and really didn’t care for them. The unpaste tabs have a much more minty taste that reminds me more of traditional toothpaste, which is a plus to me. This also might be a feature of the fluoride ones since they probably have a lot less baking soda. (I have not tried unpaste without fluoride). Still getting used to the texture of these - they are definitely more watery and less foamy than what I’m used to, but that is a small price to pay.
I decided to give these a try along with Bite to see what my options were like for ditching the tube. Compared to Bite, Unpaste has a much more intense, and long lasting mint flavor. They also taste a bit sweeter (although with that slight bitterness that comes along with stevia sweeteners). That said, the texture leaves something to be desired- I couldn't get over how chalky these were. One of the other reviews mentioned it was like "chewy [sic] on cotton gauzes", and that feels like an accurate description to me. I preferred the flavor and texture of the Bite tablets far more.
Great flavor, not salty and works very well (:
I can use them for everything in the kitchen. I love that I can ring them out and rinse them off in the sink if I need to!
So cute and work great! They wash very well too.
These are great! Better quality then expected. I was able to wrap them around my current paper towel holder and it works great. Will be ordering more colors soon.
I received my Lemon Unpaper towels and I love them! They’re so soft and cheerful, plus I’ll be saving money by not purchasing the paper ones. The customer service department is very responsive and kind to work with.
I can’t recommend these enough. I got two sets of the lemon patterned towels and love how they brighten the room. I use them for every meal and for cleaning surfaces, and then toss them with my laundry to clean them. So far, I’ve found that stains come out effortlessly. These are easily one of my favorite purchases of 2020!
I bought a 3 pack of these masks, the fabric is very soft, comfortable and breathable. Patterns are very nice, bonus because they are reversible. The wire nose bridge is a great feature so my glasses don’t fog up! I took off the adjustable plastic pieces on the ear loops because the elastic fits me perfectly without them- the adjustable feature might work for a child, but there is no stopper on the adjustment piece, so they kind of slip off easily. I would definitely buy an extra set! I hope they make more, they are sold out currently.
I bought the Watermelon and the Bee mask and schrunchie set. They are very comfortable and don't fall away from my face. I wear mine at work for 8+ hours a day at work and no adjustment for comfort need to be made. I often get compliments on the matching set and the colors stay vibrant after washing.
This is my second time purchasing this toothpaste, I love it! I had tried Lush tooth tabs, Toms toothpaste, and tooth powder. The lush products and tooth powder made my teeth sensitive. My dental hygienist commented that charcoal tooth powder can change the pH in your mouth and harm your teeth. The Toms toothpaste I wasn’t a fan of the taste, and I couldn’t locate a Toms recycling program near me. The David’s toothpaste is AWESOME. No sensitivity, the consistency is like normal toothpaste, and the peppermint is very pleasant and not an “earthy tasting” peppermint. My only comment is that when you are done with the toothpaste, it’s a little tricky to cut the packaging apart to clean it before recycling. The edges are sharp and the key makes the tube so flat that you can’t easily cut the side to clean the inside out. I’m happy to do it to reduce my waste, but something to be mindful of. So happy to discover this toothpaste!
I love the rolling key to make sure you get as much toothpaste out of the tube as possible. I also love that the metal tube is recyclable, although the plastic cap is not (in my town) due to its small size. The flavor is not a minty as a traditional Crest or Colgate toothpaste, but still refreshing and probably preferable for those of you who are not fans of mint. I am not sure if it is dentist-recommended - I plan to bring it up with my dentist next time I go in and make sure I am making a healthy choice as well as en environmentally conscious one! The price is admittedly pretty high for a tube of toothpaste, although hopefully it will last a long time, especially with the rolling key. I may post an update to this review with information on how long one tube lasts (brushing 2x a day) and what my dentist says about this product. Be well!
I love this toothpaste! It has a fresh taste and great consistency, and the tube key is such a plus to use all the product. One of my favorite swaps to date.
I bought silk floss refills with the glass dispenser and it works really well. I love the aesthetics of the glass dispenser, too. I plan to try the corn floss next.
Refillable floss that's biodegradable is great, but the corn floss breaks pretty much every other time I use it. I'll probably stick with it, but it does take some getting used to.
I was a bit concerned after reading the description that said it "may break in tight spots", but I have had no problems at all! I am impressed with the quality of the floss and will definitely continue to purchase.
I love the container because it's plain! It's very easy to use and quite compact. I also like that my teeth feel thoroughly clean after I floss! However, I have a lot of fillings and tight areas, so unfortunately the corn floss itself isn't a great fit for those spots. I'll be using it in the areas that I can, and I'll definitely give the silk floss a go. The nice thing is, for the most part, I just need a different refillable floss type. I'm happy that it's plastic free !! And very cost effective!
I was excited to make the switch to this dental floss! The pros are that is is both vegan and compostable. The downsides are that it is pretty thick and that it breaks between some of my teeth. Those traits mean I will not be able to convince others in my house to use it, but I'll keep at it.
CGM girl here! Jello shot is the perfect name for this gel. It is sooooo thick! I personally have been putting some water in my hands with the gel and then rubbing my hands together before I put it in my hair. I am still learning how to use it compared to the other gels I've used, but so far I really like it! It seems to define more strands of my hair than other gels I have used.
It took my hair a couple of washes to get used to it, but now my curls are super hydrated and happy with this conditioner bar. Definitely would recommend for my fellow curly haired friends :)
I absolutely love this bar! It leaves my curly hair so soft and moisturized! It is the best conditioner I have found for my hair and even more amazing that it is plastic free! I love using a bar soap and conditioner too as it's so easy for travel with less mess. I hope the company that makes these never stops or changes the formula.
I've been trying to buy less plastic bottles and was skeptical of trying shampoo bars so I figured I would start with this conditioner bar and I tried a sample of eco collectives just add water shampoo. Hated the shampoo it left my hair dry but this conditioner bar is the best conditioner I've ever tried for my hair. I have thinner stranded hair but a lot of it that has a tendency to be wavy and I love how it makes my hair feel after use. Coming back to buy a bunch more and stock up
I love this conditioner! My hair feels so so soft, and this bar has lasted much longer than any others I’ve had. Highly recommend!
I was skeptical at first, since I've never used a bar conditioner and my hair is wavy/slightly curly. But I've been using this maybe 1-2 times a week and it's made my hair so soft! It's been working out well for my hair texture. I love not having to use plastic in my hair care routing any more :)
I was excited to find this brush, but unfortunately it broke where the wood connects to the metal after less than a month of use. Thankfully it wasn't too pricey!
Love the ethical and sustainable manufacturing of this product so it's worth it even if it's not 100% perfect! The bristles are definitely firm, so it can double as a scouring material if you need! But also a bit harsh on plastic bottles (I bet they'll soften with use though), so just need to be delicate or it will scratch them up (washing the inside of my Nalgene bottle, for example). I also wish that there was more material along the wirey bottom of it because I can see why other comments felt it was a bit flimsy. But if you're delicate with it, I think it will hold up nicely! Gets the job done for sure! I use with a solid bar of castile soap and ta da! Vegan friendly, palm free, and ethical products are the move in 2020 y'all!
This brush is so useful for getting inside jars and containers with small openings. Because the bristles are so stiff, it cleans really well. My only complaint is that it bends really easily. (I did not find that this has impaired my ability to clean with it in any way though).
This has been a great brush to have in the sink. The bristles are nice and stiff, so it works really well -- even on things that aren't bottles!
It’s super stiff at first but relaxes a bit after some use so works perfectly! Works great in tandem with the loofah
Works so well on hard to clean stuff and works great to hold suds from a bar of dish soap. Love it.
Great little scrubber! Super tough on stuff that's burnt/stuck on pots and pans.
Really pleased with this. We use it for things that really need the extra elbow grease. Definitely recommend alongside a scrubber with a handle for more regular use.
This is a great pot scrubber! The bristles are strong and stand up to the harshest caked on materials. I find that the handle is perfect for getting the leverage needed to tackle the work!
I’ve had this brush for about 3 months now, using it daily. Bristles haven’t worn down much and it’s in good condition overall. The handle however sucks! Within about a month and half of using it, the brush head was getting wobbly as the metal part that holds the brush head was pulling out of the handle. Then just last week the metal part of the handle which hold the brush head in place just totally fell out of the handle (see pic). I was able to shove it back in and give it a few bangs, but it’s still very wobbly. I really thought the handle would last for hopefully years, not months. Pretty disappointed. The brush head itself is very good though.
Love this brush; it's soft enough for all my dishes, but thick enough bristles to keep its shape and remove grime. Really happy with this and like the grip. Mad I didn't switch sooner!
These have been great for cleaning food off our cast iron and carbon steel pans. The bristles are just stiff enough to remove any stuck on bits but soft enough to work into all the corners.
I recently bought the wooden brush head (without the handle because they were sold out) in an attempt to make my kitchen more eco-friendly. Even without the handle, I absolutely love it. I use a combination of the brush, and a loofah for cup edges and such. The brush is sturdy, and the bristles aren't too soft or hard on dishes. I would say, for the stuck on stuff (pizza cheese I'm looking at you) you would need something sturdier, like a scraper, but otherwise this brush is everything! The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because within the first 2 days of using it, the wood starting warping a bit and even cracked in places. So far, this hasn't been an issue with smell or bristles falling out, but I'm sure mold will start growing there in the future. I have never let it soak in water, and I leave it to dry on a dry surface. Overall, I definitely recommend it and will most likely be buying more in the future, just wish the wood didn't crack and warp so quickly.
I use this without a handle because they were sold out when I went in. I'm honestly glad I got it without a handle because it makes it easier to dry and work with.
Easy, plastic-free bulk hand soap for refilling bottles. Lathers well, and the bergamot scent is lovely!
I absolutely love the ability to fill up my handsoap dispensers right at Eco Collective in non-Covid19 times . . . but just as easy was purchasing this same soap in a returnable glass jar (deposit to be refunded) and filling up dispensers at all the sinks around my house. Wonderful! And great quality soap as well!
