- End of life
The body and bristles of this brush is made with a beautiful and sturdy yet lightweight bamboo, which do not absorb heat while blow drying.
This brush is a zero waste alternative to hair bkrushes made with synthetic materials. It has a natural and luxurious feel, and functions exactly like conventional hair brushes.
Use & CareBrush daily to naturally distribute oils and massage the scalp to stimulate blood flow for healthy scalp and hair.
To clean, gently remove hairs to compost, and rinse with water; towel blot to remove excess moisture and air dry completely at room temperature.
The bamboo hair brush is resistant to water damage. However, excessive water exposure should be avoided. If the brush becomes wet, we recommend using a towel to wipe it dry. When properly cared for, this hair brush can last for decades.

When properly cared for, this hair brush can last for decades. It is completely compostable at the end of its life.
This brush had a lot to live up to as I loved my aveda paddle brush to its last stroke, and it’s surpassed my expectations.
It doesn’t snag my hair at all, and really helps eliminate the tangles in my fine, wavy hair. The bristles are firm enough to give a solid scalp work out while brushing, too!
Easily detangles hair and feels great on my scalp.
After cleaning this brush numerous times, I still find it awkward (as noted below), but it's getting easier. The trick to cleaning it is to thoroughly comb or brush it to remove as many hair strands as you can before cleaning.
With most hair strands removed, it's much easier to scrub carefully with a mild soap and a nail brush, sideways under running water, being careful to not get water into the brush. Then I let it dry, face down so any water runs out.
Solid, but quite light. Just the right amount of stiffness in the bristles, gets through tangles and scratches the scalp in a good way. Feels like it will still be a great brush for years to come.
This brush is sturdy and made of quality materials, and feels like it will last several years. If I was basing this review on durability, it would get 5 out of 5.
However it requires frequent cleaning (at least in the land of LA smog) and is difficult to clean. You can't submerge the brush and soak it. You have to be careful not to get water in to it, while awkwardly scrubbing the wooden bristles.
I wish the rubber portion that held the bristles could be popped out and washed separately, then popped back in again.
