Use in a face mask by adding 2tbsp ground flax seeds (you can grind them using a mortar and pestle or even a coffee grinder), 1 tbsp clay of choice, 4 tbsp water. Leave on for 15 minutes. Soften the mask with water and scrub around for 2 minutes before washing off.
To make a DIY hair gel to encourage shiny, healthy and bouncy curls, boil 2 cups of water with 2 Tbsp flax seeds, boil on medium high heat for about 10 mins, let cool, and then strain through a thin cloth or nut milk filter. Apply to wet hair, scrunch to encourage curls and let dry naturally or with a diffuser attachment on your hair dryer! Store your DIY flax gel in the refrigerator, and it keeps for about 1-2 weeks. You can freeze excess in an ice tray to use gradually. Check out our blog post and our video for more guidance.
We recommend storing your flax seeds in an airtight glass container.
