I still love this but it gets stuck in the down position and hard for the little kids to pull up to pump themselves. Darn, I wish it worked smoother.
Great little jars with secure tops! Used them to hold soap and they work perfectly!
These are really well made jars. Airtight. Nice rubber inside the lid. Great company to work with. Such nice people.
I bought these planners to use for gratitude journals with my children. They are beautiful planners made with recycled paper and soy based ink. I love that they are open date so I can start them at Easter (most other planners I saw started last June - almost an entire year of wasted pages before we began!) I think my children will love the planners and we will all benefit from making a daily effort to count our blessings.
I ordered the mushroom design. It came way faster than I expected, and has just filled me up with so much joy. I have missed having a planner so much, but couldn’t deal with all the waste it creates. Having a completely recyclable planner now FINALLY puts all of that guilt to rest without sacrificing quality!
I love my new planner book because it gives me the opportunity to organize it the way I want and I don’t waste any pages because I can write the dates myself. Highly recommended and it’s from recycled materials which makes it even better. Will order from this company again!
So pretty and easy to use. My dream planner. I love that you can pick it up and put it down whenever! Highly recommend! Super quick shipping as well. Love supporting eco friendly companies.
This planner is perfectly compact, but has all the features I need, for month & day views. I love that it's open dated, as I previously had a 16-month planner, and then a 3 month planner. This made starting a new planner mid-year attainable. The design is great, and I love that it is made from recycled materials, and packed and shipped in an eco-friendly manner.
Updating from my original review. I was sent the pen without a cartridge in it. Customer Service responded almost immediately and sent me a box of replacement cartridges. I was very impressed with the service. Now that I have ink in the pen, I can say that this is a great pen. It writes much more smoothly than other fountain pens that I have used. I'm happy to not have to keep cycling through plastic pens whenever they run out. When I run out of cartridges I will probably buy the converter and ink bottle to reduce waste even more.
The pen did not come with an ink cartridge as advertised. I happen to have a pack of international standard cartridges but they do not fit. Will update review once I can actually use the pen.
I love this pen! It's super smooth and classic and elegant but convenient.
After cleaning this brush numerous times, I still find it awkward (as noted below), but it's getting easier. The trick to cleaning it is to thoroughly comb or brush it to remove as many hair strands as you can before cleaning.
With most hair strands removed, it's much easier to scrub carefully with a mild soap and a nail brush, sideways under running water, being careful to not get water into the brush. Then I let it dry, face down so any water runs out.
Solid, but quite light. Just the right amount of stiffness in the bristles, gets through tangles and scratches the scalp in a good way. Feels like it will still be a great brush for years to come.
This brush is sturdy and made of quality materials, and feels like it will last several years. If I was basing this review on durability, it would get 5 out of 5.
However it requires frequent cleaning (at least in the land of LA smog) and is difficult to clean. You can't submerge the brush and soak it. You have to be careful not to get water in to it, while awkwardly scrubbing the wooden bristles.
I wish the rubber portion that held the bristles could be popped out and washed separately, then popped back in again.
I have this one and then 2 other ones I bought elsewhere. This one is the best one yet. It's bigger and higher quality.... Doesn't feel like it's gonna unravel. I definitely recommend
Easiest way to save small pieces of soap! Quality is as pictured and described!
I've really liked this pouch so far. I didn't know what to do with my small soap pieces because they were too small to use but I also didn't want to waste them. This pouch dries hard if you keep the soap in it after each shower/bath, but softens when wet.
I received the bee journal. It was out of stock so I has ro wait but not long. It was shipped immediately once they received them and I received it in perfect condition. If I had to comllain it would be that although the design is made in USA the book is made in China. Only because I like to buy from loxal artists and artisans whenever possible. However will come in handy and art work is gorgeous.
I bought a 3 pack of these masks, the fabric is very soft, comfortable and breathable. Patterns are very nice, bonus because they are reversible. The wire nose bridge is a great feature so my glasses don’t fog up! I took off the adjustable plastic pieces on the ear loops because the elastic fits me perfectly without them- the adjustable feature might work for a child, but there is no stopper on the adjustment piece, so they kind of slip off easily. I would definitely buy an extra set! I hope they make more, they are sold out currently.
I’m actually quite amazed at how well this adheres to whatever you’re wrapping whether it be a container of the food
itself. So much better than plastic. Glad to be doing my part for the environment.
I purchased a three pack, and couldn’t be happier! Such good quality for the price.
It's a pleasure to get in the easy, eco-friendly habit of using and reusing these instead of tearing off and later trashing sheet after sheet of plastic wrap or foil. We sent both our adult children a set of the purple ones, too.
I've been using all natural toothpaste for several years now, so I am used to toothpaste that does not foam up and is more watery like these tablets. I love the fact that they aren't liquid, which makes plane travel and camping a breeze! I chew them a bit on one side of my mouth and then chew a bit on the other size of my mouth. When I begin brushing there are still chucks of the tablet that dissolve as I brush. I find this helps distribute the toothpaste more evenly across all my teeth! Highly recommend giving this product a try. Ditch those nasty wasteful toothpaste tubes and enjoy the multitude of benefits these tablets offer.
I've tried a bunch of "zero waste" toothpastes/diys/tabs. I'm so glad these have fluoride in them. When I was using fluoride-free (which is most zero waste toothpastes), I actually got a few cavities that cost a ton of money (and waste) to fix. My teeth also were so sensitive. It hurt to drink water.
Since switching back to a fluoridated option, my teeth aren't sensitive anymore, and I know I'm preventing cavities. I like the packaging of these ones as it is completely compostable. Although I don't love the feel when I bite on these to crush them (it does feel chalkier than I'd like), what's nice is that they completely break down into dust without leaving any larger particles. It feels like more of a true paste in my mouth rather than a powder. They clean my teeth really well, and these are probably the most breath-freshening ones I've tried, although it's more menthol than mint. I'd buy these again for sure.
These tablets work well to clean my teeth and the essential oils give it a great taste so my mouth feels fresh and clean.
I especially love the fact that there is no waste when the tablets are finished.
I’ve tried to like these. My boyfriend does so I’ll make these his toothpaste. I’m going to order another brand, I cannot get over how chalky they are. They won’t foam at all. I understand foam doesn’t always mean clean but it leaves something to be desired. I don’t feel this helps freshen my breath or clean my teeth very well. I wish they worked for me the packaging is great.
I enjoy these tablets! It's definitely different than traditional toothpaste, but you get used to it pretty quickly. I've repurchased these a few times. They're also really cost effective compared to other fluoride tablets on the market.
I mean, can you really go wrong? This toothbrush is perfect for just about anyone, seriously. They last a month or two and they are almost fully compostable, what's no to love? <3
I generally prefer a medium bristle but couldn't find one (anywhere I looked) -- this works just as well, though! Adult size. Happy to be replacing my plastic toothbrushes. Would recommend!
I really love the handle of the toothbrush. It feels very stable in my hand. The bristles are nice and soft, but they don't fall apart in my mouth. It also gets my teeth really clean.
Toothbrush looks great and the handle feels good, however the bristles are pretty hard! I’d say they are more firm than my old plastic toothbrush which was labeled “medium”. Unfortunately, this brush does hurt my gums quite a bit. Also, I wish there was a different color option to avoid confusion with other members of the household. My husband’s has a charming piece of blue painters tape on his.
Everything I need in a toothbrush. I wish the bristles could be compostable, but it's still great to have a fully compostable bamboo handle. It feels nice in my hand, and I think that these toothbrushes actually last longer than "regular" plastic ones (at least, I haven't noticed the bristles starting to wear down yet like a plastic toothbrush's bristles would by this time. When do you REALLY need to replace a bamboo toothbrush, anyway?)
This dish brush is effective and I love that the handle lets me keep my hands out of the hot water/soap (very helpful for sensitive skin/eczema!) I will say after a few uses I started to see cracks in the wood of the brush head but it seems to have little effect besides making the bristles slightly more flexible. It pairs super well with the handheld pot scrubber and I'm loving these additions to my eco-friendlier kitchen!
I’ve had this brush for about 3 months now, using it daily. Bristles haven’t worn down much and it’s in good condition overall. The handle however sucks! Within about a month and half of using it, the brush head was getting wobbly as the metal part that holds the brush head was pulling out of the handle. Then just last week the metal part of the handle which hold the brush head in place just totally fell out of the handle (see pic). I was able to shove it back in and give it a few bangs, but it’s still very wobbly. I really thought the handle would last for hopefully years, not months. Pretty disappointed. The brush head itself is very good though.
Love this brush; it's soft enough for all my dishes, but thick enough bristles to keep its shape and remove grime. Really happy with this and like the grip. Mad I didn't switch sooner!
These have been great for cleaning food off our cast iron and carbon steel pans. The bristles are just stiff enough to remove any stuck on bits but soft enough to work into all the corners.
I received the package quickly since the outlet is in Seattle where I live. The brushes are a good quality but shorter than I expected. Overrall though, I'm happy with the experience.
Like your best friend, these bags are fun and reliable. They come in so many colors, I love seeing them in my Tupperware drawer. Trust me, these bags will become your best friend next time you’re on the go or just have something you need to keep safe for later.
I love these and want every size. The seal is 100% safe. You could fill one with olive oil, stick it in your bag, and wouldn’t have to worry about it leaking a bit. I also love how easy they are to wash in the dishwasher and then air dry.
I travel for business at least once a month and I love these to stash snacks, dirty reusable utensils, and necessities on the plane and during my trip. For flights, I pack one with my earbuds, phone charger, antibac wipes, lip balm, and eyedrops and stick it in the seatpocket so everything stays clean and I'm not digging thru my bag during the flight. They get extra points for being dishwasher safe.
Ive been having a hard time hydrating myself in quarantine, and a friend suggested I get a straw to trick myself into drinking more water (because apparently I'm a child lol). So instead of buying a pack of plastic ones, I bought 2 of these bad boys and I love them! Highly recommended
It's really nice to find soaps that don't have palm oil and options for ones without essential oils. I have very sensitive skin and am so glad this soap works well and doesn't make me itch. I bought it in hopes that it would help moisturize my hair and body when I have issues with dryness. It has been working perfectly for that issue and is a generous size. I suspect it'll last a long time since it's not super soft and drains well. It'd be great to have other unscented flavours as well, like maybe the lavender one without the essential oil, for example, or other ones where flower petals are used instead of essential oils. It also could be helpful to include the size in the description. I was unsure of how big/small exactly it would be.
This soap is great! Love that it's made locally too. It's not overly drying and doesn't leave a weird feeling on your skin afterwards like other soaps do. They're also so pretty and instagram-worthy if you're into that thing. I will continue to buy these! Worth the price for sure!
The rose/ylang ylang smells like heaven and it will make you want to shower even when you don't need to. The lemon poppy smells and lathers great, but it's a strong exfoliant. I have dry skin so I only use it once a week.
Second time ordering soap from Eco Collective and I’m so impressed. This soap smells amazing while not giving me a headache. It lasts forever! My partner and I both use it and it lasted us three months. 10/10. I now have one for the shower and the sink.
I love these soaps-- I got one for each of our bathroom sinks and they're both really nice. I especially love the smell of the blue clay and patchouli. They're very smooth and suds up very nicely. I will be repurchasing when I run out of soap again.
I always appreciate that Eco Collective stocks local eco-concious brands that I likely wouldn't have heard of otherwise. Thank you for introducing me to Flourish Botanicals!
It’s hard for me to find bars of body soap that don’t leave a residue after I rinse off. This soap smells so good and I love how it exfoliates my skin. Definitely recommend!
It does exactly what it’s supposed to: it gets real foamy and lathery! It also smells amazing and I love that it’s a Seattle company.
Smells sooo good and a little goes a long way! I’m glad I’ll be saving money in the long run by using this
I absolutely love this soap block! It smells fantastic and only takes a small amount to get a nice lather. It’s very gentle on the hands but my favorite part is the scent! I’m waiting for the stone to come back in stock.
Even though this soap says it's lemongrass scented, it smells like straight up fruit loops! It is effective once you get enough on your cloth/sponge, but that does take some. It's lasted me about 1.5 months of handwashing dishes and I would say I have 1/2-2/3 of the bar left. It's not a bad price for the amount you get, and if you like the scent, you'll be satisfied!
I love this soap! Cleans well, smells lovely, use it as hand soap in the kitchen too. And as someone who enjoys the ritual is cleaning..the soap and eco scrubber are fun!
I've had my handheld pot scrubber for less than a month now and I am concerned about the durability of this product. I store my brush upright and away from water as the use and care instructions dictate; however, the wooden handle is cracked near the bristles and the bristles keep falling out. I hope this is simply part of a break in process and the pot scrubber will last for months to come. The scrubber does tackle grease and burnt food extremely well and provides a great soapy lather!
Thanks so much for sharing your experience with this product! Your feedback is really useful - we'll be sure to pass it along to the manufacturer to improve the product in the future. There's certainly some fine-tuning that comes along with creating a durable biodegradable product!
Also - I realized upon reading your message that it might not have been clear in our original instructions that upright in this case means bristles pointing down, handle facing up! So I do want to clarify that in case you thought we meant bristles pointing upright, which could result in the wood near where the bristles attach to deteriorate more quickly from water, causing bristles to loosen or fall out.
I hope this helps! Feel free to email us if you have any additional questions/concerns!
Summer from Eco Collective
This scrubber is super effective especially on pans with burnt bits and a great replacement for steel wool/Brillo pads!
It’s super stiff at first but relaxes a bit after some use so works perfectly! Works great in tandem with the loofah
Works so well on hard to clean stuff and works great to hold suds from a bar of dish soap. Love it.
Great little scrubber! Super tough on stuff that's burnt/stuck on pots and pans.
