Fresh Face - refreshing facial bar soap for combination and acne prone skin
I have pretty normal skin and don't suffer from too many breakouts (usually 1-3 pimples around the time of my cycle) but occasionally have hard knots under the skin that are super painful. Since using this facial soap (about 1.5 months at this point) I haven't noticed any negative effects on my skin. I'll happily continue to use this!
When will this be back in stock? I neeeeeeeed it. I am a fresh-faced goddess from using this soap. See that light in the distance? It's me. xo
In the few weeks Ive used this facial soap Ive seen a significant change in my small breakouts and specifically oil-deposits/blackheads.
The lather is so silky and it smells clean but not overly fragrant. This will last me a while even with washing my face 2x a day - I have combo skin type leaning toward dry, for context
This has been great for my husband's skin. He's had problem combination skin his whole life, and this has definitely reduced his breakouts and made his skin tone more even. Love that it is zero waste! We bought the soap stone to go with the soap bar, but the liquid soap dripped off the stone too easily and stained our white bath tub. Our solution (taken from another reviewer) was to take an old mint tin, strum rubber bands in a cross hatch across the lip of the tin, and then rest the soap bar on top of the rubber band. The tin offered a lip to catch any soap drippings, and prevented future stains.
Northwest Local Foods Wheel
Learn what's in season where you live!
Once you know what to pick up at your local farmer's market and grocer, you'll get the freshest, healthiest produce. This poster inspires many a meal. From winter squash to huckleberries and chanterelle mushrooms, you can proudly support Northwest farms and foraging.
The wheel shows foods sourced from Oregon, Washington, and Idaho as well as from coastal waters. Some of the unique local foods available in the region include an abundance of wild and cultivated berries and unique seafood items like geoduck!
Bonus: it's a woman owned company and they crafted the wheels in collaboration with farmers, ranchers, foragers, fishermen, and local foods experts.
The wheels are printed at a local printer with soy based ink. The small batch designs make for a low carbon footprint. Woman-owned company!
It comes in a beautiful paper sleeve that can be reused as scrap paper or recycled.
The wheel and the paper sleeve can be recycled.
I've always tried to write out on paper what's in season and when. This wheel makes it so much easier and is much more comprehensive when I can't simply go to a farmers market. It's also very pretty and has me noticing many other fruits and vegetables that I didn't even know were local to the PNW. I've only had this for about a month but would never want to live anywhere without it.
The back of it also has loads of extra information about seasonality and when things are commercially available if the front doesn't have everything you need.
Mine is pinned up very simply with a thumbtack in drywall in my kitchen.
Flora - spinach matcha facial bar soap for normal to dry skin
Pros: Feels great on skin, lathers well, smell is very mild, and, as other reviews have mentioned, it really hasn't changed shape at all after nearly a month of use. So for overall quality and price, 5 stars hands down.
Cons: Something in this soap seems to be drying my face out. If you have a healthy moisturizing regiment already, then this will likely be no problem. I just noticed I have had to increase my method of moisturizing a lot after washing my face with this. Still recommend!
Love this face wash. It doesn’t irritate or dry out my skin.
I love this soap! It soaps up really easily, and you don't need much to get a thick lather. Doesn't dry out my skin
This is the face wash my dry skin was looking for. Such a gentle cleanse, pleasantly faint smell, and seems like it will last me a long time as the bar hasn't even changed shape after two weeks of using it. Super excited to keep using this!
A lot of facial soaps (bar and otherwise) can feel like they strip the skin of everything- dirt, bacteria, and oils. With this bar, I feel like it is cleansing without stripping away moisture that I need to replace right away with face lotion and the like. I can't speak to the UV protection, inflammation reduction, or redness reduction that the description holds, but so far have been very satisfied with my purchase- which is great, since this seems like it will last me a long time!
Silicone stand-up bag
Say goodbye to single-use plastic baggies, it's time for a switch-up! These durable and reusable silicone bags stand the test of time, and are microwave safe, dishwasher safe, sous vide ready, oven strong, and fridge and freezer friendly. Perfect for storing leftovers, buying in bulk, and cooking too!
They're kind of like disposable baggies, but nontoxic, more versatile, and you only have to buy them once. Cool, right?
The mid-size stand-up silicone bag is perfect for, buying dry beans in bulk, popcorn, sous vide, steamer bag, bunch of asparagus, smoothie ingredients, baguette cut in half, etc.
In the mini stand-up bag, you can store just under a quart of your favorites like avocados, sliced fruit, dips, and essentials like hand sani, wipes, and sunscreen. We also love using it for storing a few bar soaps like our face soaps, hand and body soaps, or conditioner and shampoo bars at a time for travel.
Note: Photos on this product listing are by Stasher, the manufacturer.
Dishwasher safe - just don't flip the bag inside out, it can compromise the bag's sealed edges.
Safe for use in the microwave, with a sous vide machine, a standard oven, or a pot of boiling water — up to 400F.
TSA-approved for flying with carry-on liquids. The clear window on every Stasher bag offers a view of contents, making them appropriate to pass airport security with travel-size liquids.
Because Stasher doesn't use any toxic sealants, the silicone can sometimes stain with certain foods. To remove stains, make a baking soda paste with vinegar or water, apply to discolored container, let sit for at least 20–30 mins, then rinse and wash the bag like normal, or leave the bag in the sun for a natural stain remover.

Tare weight: 3.3 ounces / .21 pounds
Also available in snack, sandwich, and half gallon sizes.
I bought a couple of the stand-up bags along with the starter set. Really glad I got both. I find these very handy because, as the name implies, they stand up while you're filling them. They also stand up in the fridge, with their little windows facing forward so I can see all the stuff at a glance. They are thick enough that I put muffins inside, stacked, and froze them. Easy to open and grab one out to reheat.
They clean up easily, do the job better than the alternatives - what's not to love?
Set of 3 wool dryer balls
These natural wool dryer balls replace dryer sheets and reduce drying time by about 30%. By bouncing around in the dryer, they create air pockets that maximize air flow, speeding up the drying process. They also reduce wrinkles and static. Comes in a set of 3.
We recommend using at least 3 dryer balls for a normal load of laundry, but you can always add more to increase the benefits!
You can scent dryer balls with a few drops of essential oils like lavender and eucalyptus for a fresh scent.
Our wool dryer balls are responsibly made from 100% American wool fiber at Echoview Fiber Mill, an environmentally friendly fiber mill in Weaverville, NC. Their mill is Leed Gold Certified 2013, and Living Wage certified.
Put three dryer balls in with each load of clothes in the dryer along with your wet laundry. Using them will reduce drying time, soften, and fluff up your clothes, towels and sheets.
Add a few drops of lavender, pine, or any other favorite essential oil to the wool dryer ball before the laundry cycle for an uplifting natural scent!
Don't wash them with your regular load unless you are cleaning them.
To store them between dryer loads, we suggest using a cloth bag or a simple jar or other container in your laundry room.
100% American felted wool fiber.
Packaged in a recycled paper box and eco-friendly ink.
Our wool dryer balls are responsibly made from 100% American felted wool fiber at Echoview Fiber Mill, an environmentally friendly fiber mill in Weaverville, NC. Their mill is Leed Gold Certified 2013, and Living Wage certified.
They should last for years (a customer mentioned to us that she has had her similar wool dryer balls for 8 years and counting), but at the end of their life, they are compostable.
Love this product! I'll put a few drops of lavender or eucalyptus essential oils in each of these and it provides such a nice smell to our clothes without the added chemicals and dryer sheet waste! Thank you Eco Collective, these are great!
I have a front load dryer and using this helped reduce the static and I haven’t had to run the dryer twice so far for my normal loads. This is really great on for use on towels.
The Abyss - Detoxifying charcoal facial bar soap for normal to oily skin
Use until completely gone.
This facial cleanser works great for my skin and has cleared some of it up (I have the recommended oily skin). It also has a calming smell that isn’t too strong. This is my second time buying it (I bought it the first time in store) and I can confirm that it is worth the money. It lasted me for a over a year, and I wash my face at least twice a day. Would 100% recommend to anyone who has oily skin like me.
I am so happy I was told about this bar by Genevieve (I think that's how you spell her name (sorry!) She is one of the co-owners of Eco Collective). I have always been nervous about switching up my skincare routine because my skin is my biggest point of low self-esteem if it doesn't look good and I'm acne prone at times, but I'm glad I made the switch! I feel like I almost have less breakouts, and when they do happen, they go away so much more quickly! I also started using jojoba oil from Eco Collective as well after I wash my face. I'm about to start using rose water as well just to see what happens! Thanks for all you guys do at Eco Collective!!!

Recycled paper to-do list notepads
These beautiful notepads will inspire you to get those ideas and obligations that are swirling around in your mind out of your head and onto the paper - where they can be properly prioritized and checked off - whew!
Designed and printed with vegetable-based inks in Michigan, USA by a wife-and-husband team. They use recycled paper made by a local-to-them, 100% hydropower paper mill in Michigan!
We love this note from Kristen, the designer:
I think living a worthwhile life is about taking risks, valuing time & experiences, doing what you love even if it doesn't even seem feasible, being who you really are even if to doesn't meet the expectations of others, going outside, devoting yourself to a practice, doing something creative and being vulnerable even if you are scared, not taking the easy route on purpose, surrounding ourselves with people who we love and who lift us up, creating and nurturing another life, spending our lives doing the things we feel really matter. All of these things are about energy awareness, strength and self-emergence. What do you want to put your love and energy toward in the only life you know right now? How can we free ourselves from things that are NOT worth our while? How can we expand fully? This underlying current is what fuels my creativity. Even if it is subtle, I hope this energy of exploring and learning and loving to be alive, through the hard times and the good, is reflected in my work.

Upcycled cotton protective face masks - mixed prints
We're so excited to now offer upcycled cotton protective face masks to provide additional health protection during the COVID-19 pandemic. Wearing a mask is a sign of respect and care for those around you (it protects others in the case you're asymptomatic), and is now required in many public spaces. We recommend following all guidelines from the CDC on how to protect yourself and others, including wearing a mask over your mouth and nose when around others, washing hands (and sanitizing) often, disinfecting surfaces, and avoiding close contact with others.
These face masks are made locally with donated upcycled materials in Portland, Oregon by Hidden Opulence, a Queer, Black Latinx owned design house dedicated to sustainable practices.
The design is a remix of a familiar, classic style of face mask - made with three pleats, and low tension elastic ear loops, and a wire along the nose bridge. The ear loops adjust to fit comfortably, and don't tug on your ears since they're made of low tension elastic. There are 3 layers of thin, 100% cotton fabric (fleece in the middle layer) for excellent filtration and breathability. The mask features wire to fit more snug along the nose bridge, making them more effective and less likely to fog up glasses!
The latest Hidden Opulence masks are each double-sided with a solid color on one side and a print on the other. They come in 3 different color families:
Blues & Greys: Assorted prints and solids with blue or grey as the dominant colors.
Greens: Assorted prints and solids with green as the dominant color.
Purples: Assorted prints and solids with purple as the dominant color.
Individual: We'll give you a random print in the color family you selected.
3-packs: We'll give you an assortment from the color family you selected. If you selected "mixed prints" we will give you one from each of the three color families.
Other prints: For the options that have a specified print, they will come with the same print shown in the picture! Each of these is reversible with a different print on each side - see the labeled image for a guide on what each print looks like!
Besides the options from the last batch that show specific prints, we don't accommodate special requests for prints because we have such a wide variety from the upcycled fabrics used. You can choose your desired color family or a mixed 3-pack! :)
According to the CDC, "You could spread COVID-19 to others even if you do not feel sick. The cloth face cover is meant to protect other people in case you are infected. Everyone*, should wear a cloth face cover in public settings and when around people who don’t live in your household, especially when other social distancing measures are difficult to maintain."
Wear the mask over your nose and mouth when you're out in public or around people you don't live with. Form the wire at the top to be snug against the bridge of your nose to improve effectiveness and prevent glasses from fogging, and adjust the ear loops so the mask fits snug (but not too tight) around your face.
The CDC recommends that you "continue to keep 6 ft distance between yourself and others. The cloth face cover is not a substitute for social distancing."
Wash after use (by hand or machine). Safe to machine dry, or lay flat to dry (best option to keep shape without ironing). Reversible wear. Iron with steam & low heat to reshape.
*Cloth face coverings should not be placed on young children under age 2, anyone who has trouble breathing, or is unconscious, incapacitated or otherwise unable to remove the mask without assistance.
Designed for adults. 5.5" long, 2.5" tall flat, 5.5" with fully extended pleats. Adjustable earloops with 6" of elastic on each side. Metal wire: 3.5"
3 layers of thin, 100% cotton fabric (fleece in the middle layer). Masks are pre-washed.
Metal wire (for adjustable nose bridge).
Low tension elastic earloops.
Rubber strap adjusters.
The latest batch of prints (the blues/greys, greens and purples) do not come with any packaging.
For those which you can select a specific print combination (the previous batch): These are packaged in a paper envelope with clear window, sealed with a sticker. Paper slip with care instructions is included in the envelope. In Seattle, paper envelopes with windows can be put into single-stream recycling as-is. Your local recycler may have different recommendations.
These face masks are made locally with donated upcycled materials in Portland, Oregon by Hidden Opulence, a Queer, Black Latinx owned design house dedicated to sustainable practices.
In addition to making these protective face masks, Hidden Opulence offers clothing repairs and alterations at their Portland studio (you can even do mail in orders for alterations or repairs!)
Cut out the metal wire to recycle it. The cotton fabric and straps can be donated to a fabric recycler such as Threadcycle, or the fabric can be composted and the elastic straps discarded in the trash.
I bought a 3 pack of these masks, the fabric is very soft, comfortable and breathable. Patterns are very nice, bonus because they are reversible. The wire nose bridge is a great feature so my glasses don’t fog up! I took off the adjustable plastic pieces on the ear loops because the elastic fits me perfectly without them- the adjustable feature might work for a child, but there is no stopper on the adjustment piece, so they kind of slip off easily. I would definitely buy an extra set! I hope they make more, they are sold out currently.
Menstrual cup
The Saalt Cup is a reusable soft silicone cup worn internally like a tampon, but collects—rather than absorbs—your period. It stays in place by creating a seal between the cup and your vaginal wall. Once your cup is filled, you simply empty, rinse, and reinsert the cup for another 12 hours of protection. Heel clicks and hallelujahs!
Menstrual are a wonderful zero waste alternative to tampons or pads for anyone who menstruates. The cups dramatically reduce your risk for TSS and your environmental footprint. Plus, the average menstruator spends $120 on tampons and pads every year. Pick up one of these and it'll last you for years.
We chose Saalt as our brand of choice because their cups are one of the most comfortable out there plus they are made right here in the USA and are more affordable than other brands out there! Wins all around!
Check out the sizes tab of this page for guidance on choosing the right size for your cup!
Most people can probably use either size of cup, but one might be more comfortable, based on the information below. You might like to try a duo pack, for your light and heavy days, or just to have a spare.

Basic steps are included below, but we recommend you follow the more detailed guide (with diagrams) that is included in the box to learn how to insert, use, remove, store and care for your menstrual cup.
100% premium medical grade silicone.
FDA registered and compliant.
Free of BPA, latex and chemicals.
Does not release chemicals or irritants.
Vegan.
Informative recyclable paper tube with a clear recyclable plastic window at the top.
Made in the USA and distributed by Saalt.
Saalt started with a phone call that co-founder Cherie made to an aunt in Venezuela, where pads and tampons had not been available in stores for years. She immediately thought of her 5 daughters and what she would do if she found herself in the same situation. The dependence she and others had on disposables kept her up at night.
Saalt believes that people empowered and equipped to live their element can change the world. As a certified B Corporation, they commit 2% of their revenue to donate period care to regions with the most need, and help fund initiatives in menstrual health, education, and sustainability.
Menstrual cups can last up to 10 years. When you're ready to move on to the next, check with your local recycling facility to see if they accept silicone for recycling. If they don't, we will be adding information here soon about where we recommend sending silicone products for recycling!

Beeswax food storage wraps
These lovely wax food storage wraps keep your food fresher than you could even dream of. We're talking avocado halves that are still perfectly green two days later and baguettes that stay soft and fresh.
By infusing organic cotton with beeswax, organic jojoba oil, and tree resin, this women-owned business created a washable, reusable, and compostable alternative to plastic wrap, and we're head over heels!
We also have a plant-based, vegan option available here!
Rinse with cold water after each use; do not use warm water or soap as this will begin to strip the beeswax from the cloth. Let dry and fold or roll to store.
Note that these are extremely versatile in that if one size seems too big, you can always cut it in half.
Beeswax option: Organic cotton infused with beeswax, organic jojoba oil, and tree resin.
We also have a plant-based, vegan option available here.
These beauties come in a recyclable paper sleeve with a compostable cellulose window.
Made in Vermont, USA by Bee's Wrap, a woman-owned company dedicated to reducing single-use plastic waste.
The cotton and joboba oil are certified organic. All beeswax is sourced from sustainably managed hives in the US. In the plant-based version, the beeswax is substituted for candelilla wax, a plant native to the Southwest & Mexico with similar properties to beeswax.
Their fabric and printing is certified by the Global Organic Textile Standard, and they're an America Certified Green Business.
Bee's Wrap lasts for up to a year with proper care and regular usage. You'll know your wrap has reached the end of its useful life in the kitchen when it has worn thin and soft and has trouble sticking to itself. At this time, you can cut your wrap into strips and add to your compost pile, or use as a natural and effective fire starter.
I’m actually quite amazed at how well this adheres to whatever you’re wrapping whether it be a container of the food
itself. So much better than plastic. Glad to be doing my part for the environment.
I purchased a three pack, and couldn’t be happier! Such good quality for the price.
Bamboo toothbrush
Plastic toothbrushes are one of the top ten items found during beach cleanups. In fact, every plastic toothbrush ever made still exists today. These bamboo toothbrushes are such an easy switch! With their easy-grip handles and durable bristles, they're as useful as they are pretty.
Apply toothpaste and brush teeth for two minutes,
Adult and child sizes available.
Bamboo handle with nylon bristles.
Comes in a compostable paper box and a compostable bioplastic sleeve.
Sustainably harvested from organic, wild bamboo. Vegan, BPA-free, and certified non-toxic. USDA Certified Bio-Based Product and Green America Certified Business.
At the end of its life, these toothbrushes can be reused as a cleaning brush or a makeup tool like a brow brush. The handle can be composted, and the bristles are the most advanced bio-based option available, but they're still not biodegradable (pig hair is the only alternative, and it's highly controversial), but they can be recycled anywhere that recycles nylon. To separate, pluck bristles out with pliers, or break the head off to dispose of separately. Read more about composting your toothbrush on our blog.
I mean, can you really go wrong? This toothbrush is perfect for just about anyone, seriously. They last a month or two and they are almost fully compostable, what's no to love? <3
I generally prefer a medium bristle but couldn't find one (anywhere I looked) -- this works just as well, though! Adult size. Happy to be replacing my plastic toothbrushes. Would recommend!
I really love the handle of the toothbrush. It feels very stable in my hand. The bristles are nice and soft, but they don't fall apart in my mouth. It also gets my teeth really clean.
Toothbrush looks great and the handle feels good, however the bristles are pretty hard! I’d say they are more firm than my old plastic toothbrush which was labeled “medium”. Unfortunately, this brush does hurt my gums quite a bit. Also, I wish there was a different color option to avoid confusion with other members of the household. My husband’s has a charming piece of blue painters tape on his.
Everything I need in a toothbrush. I wish the bristles could be compostable, but it's still great to have a fully compostable bamboo handle. It feels nice in my hand, and I think that these toothbrushes actually last longer than "regular" plastic ones (at least, I haven't noticed the bristles starting to wear down yet like a plastic toothbrush's bristles would by this time. When do you REALLY need to replace a bamboo toothbrush, anyway?)
Straw cleaning brush

David's Natural Toothpaste is American made and manufactured, with 98% USA-origin ingredients. Carton made with 100% renewable energy (wind power) and FSC certified packaging.
The metal tube is recyclable, plastic cap is not.
In order to recycle the tube, you will need to clean the excess paste from the inside of the tube. Instructions from the brand below:
1. Take some scissors or shears and cut off both ends of the tube.
2. Cut a slit the full length of the tube to fold open the tube to access the inside of the tube for cleaning....the edges of metal are sharp, so please be careful.
3. Wash off the excess paste with running water.... a toothbrush can be helpful here for removing all the paste.
4. Discard metal in recycle bin. It will be up to your local waste management provider to properly sort/recycle as we do not currently take back used tubes for recycling.

This is my second time purchasing this toothpaste, I love it! I had tried Lush tooth tabs, Toms toothpaste, and tooth powder. The lush products and tooth powder made my teeth sensitive. My dental hygienist commented that charcoal tooth powder can change the pH in your mouth and harm your teeth. The Toms toothpaste I wasn’t a fan of the taste, and I couldn’t locate a Toms recycling program near me. The David’s toothpaste is AWESOME. No sensitivity, the consistency is like normal toothpaste, and the peppermint is very pleasant and not an “earthy tasting” peppermint. My only comment is that when you are done with the toothpaste, it’s a little tricky to cut the packaging apart to clean it before recycling. The edges are sharp and the key makes the tube so flat that you can’t easily cut the side to clean the inside out. I’m happy to do it to reduce my waste, but something to be mindful of. So happy to discover this toothpaste!
I love the rolling key to make sure you get as much toothpaste out of the tube as possible. I also love that the metal tube is recyclable, although the plastic cap is not (in my town) due to its small size. The flavor is not a minty as a traditional Crest or Colgate toothpaste, but still refreshing and probably preferable for those of you who are not fans of mint. I am not sure if it is dentist-recommended - I plan to bring it up with my dentist next time I go in and make sure I am making a healthy choice as well as en environmentally conscious one! The price is admittedly pretty high for a tube of toothpaste, although hopefully it will last a long time, especially with the rolling key. I may post an update to this review with information on how long one tube lasts (brushing 2x a day) and what my dentist says about this product. Be well!

Like your best friend, these bags are fun and reliable. They come in so many colors, I love seeing them in my Tupperware drawer. Trust me, these bags will become your best friend next time you’re on the go or just have something you need to keep safe for later.
I love these and want every size. The seal is 100% safe. You could fill one with olive oil, stick it in your bag, and wouldn’t have to worry about it leaking a bit. I also love how easy they are to wash in the dishwasher and then air dry.
I travel for business at least once a month and I love these to stash snacks, dirty reusable utensils, and necessities on the plane and during my trip. For flights, I pack one with my earbuds, phone charger, antibac wipes, lip balm, and eyedrops and stick it in the seatpocket so everything stays clean and I'm not digging thru my bag during the flight. They get extra points for being dishwasher safe.

Use with dry hands only. Add detergent capsule directly into the back of the washer drum BEFORE adding clothes. Do not place in the dispenser drawer.
Do not unwrap or cut open. Pac dissolves completely to release deep cleaning detergent.
Use one pac for regular wash load. For extra large loads or high capacity machines, use 2 pacs.
General instructions
To use, place detergent pod directly into washer drum, then add clothes to washing machine and start cycle. Close the package and store out of reach of children and pets.
For cold water loads in HE machines
We recommend you use a soap pouch when using our laundry pods in a cold water cycle with an HE (High Efficiency) machine. The pouch helps the pod dissolve more easily from friction, since Dropps can sometimes not dissolve as well when the washer uses only a small amount of cold water.
To use with a soap pouch, place detergent pod (and laundry additive if applicable) inside the soap pouch and synch closed. Place washing pouch directly into washing machine drum. Load clothes on top. Start cold water wash cycle.
Each box contains 28 laundry pods. One pod per standard load.
The full box weighs approximately 12 oz.

The pod membrane is a biodegradable, water soluble film made of polyvinyl alcohol. When the film dissolves in your washer and enters the water stream in microparticles, micro-organisms that commonly exist in nature break down the PVA (polyvinyl alcohol) to water and carbon dioxide.
As many as 55 species of micro-organisms (including bacteria, yeasts and fungi) that are naturally present in water and soils are capable of breaking down PVA. Research has shown that in river water, PVAs take no more than 1 month to break down into their component parts.
Comes in a recyclable and compostable cardboard box made partially with post-consumer recycled content.
Sourced from Dropps, a sustainably-minded company based in Philadelphia, PA, USA, that's reinventing the way we do laundry and dishes.
They offer highly concentrated, biodegradable, plant-based laundry machine and dishwasher detergent pods packaged in recyclable cardboard boxes instead of bulky and wasteful plastic jugs. They don't test on animals, use harsh chemicals, or synthetic fragrances. They help us reduce emissions, save space, and save plastic. And we love them for it!
These pods naturally biodegrade, and aren't toxic to the environment. Recycle the box when you're finished!
I found these after I got tired of going to the coop to fill up a big jug of laundry detergent from the bulk section, which always ended up being slow and messy. I was intrigued by these when I saw them on the shelves of Eco Collective so I got a box and gave them a try, and wow am I glad that I did!! At the moment these pods are the only thing I will use to do laundry with, they are so compact and portable which is great because I have o go to a laundromat. Plus, being the self-contained pods that they are, there is no mess at all! I also got my mom hooked on them, she says that with these pods laundry has never been so simple.
I love the minimal scent how easy the pods are to use. I appreciate how earth friendly the product and packaging is. I will definitely continue to purchase your products. Thank you!
The pods a great. There is no drop in the cleanliness and smell from the last detergent I used. And, I know I'm limiting my waste to society.
These worked well for me. I appreciate the scent (which didn't trigger my asthma) and how powerfully effective these little pods are. The packaging is minimal, too, just a small cardboard box. I will be buying more of these.
Dish soap block
This coconut oil based dish soap creates a wonderful lather. It's perfect for cleaning dishes plastic-free. It comes in a bar form, leaving your hands free to work - one hand for the dish and the other for the dish brush.
It has a lemongrass scent that's sweet, subtle and refreshing. The unfinished edge is true to its high quality handmade origin.
For the French, oil-based soap is used for everything from hand and dish washing to spot removal and so much more.
These block soaps fit perfectly on a natural stone tile, sold separately, to keep your counters clean and clear. It's designed to be left on the stone, and you just swipe a kitchen brush or rag across the top to pick up soap.
Dish block: between 5 and 6 ounces, varying slightly because they are hand crafted. Each bar will last you a couple of months, depending on use.
The soap itself measures approximately 2 1/2" square by 1 1/2" thick.
XL dish block: between 10 and 11 ounces, varying slightly. This is more of a cube shape soap block, similar in size to the big block kitchen soap that we also sell.
Organic coconut oil, unrefined sunflower oil, salt, and lemongrass essential oil.
Palm oil free!
Recyclable paper label.
Handmade in Seattle by a sustainable, woman-owned business, Sage on the Mountain.
Use until completely gone.
Smells sooo good and a little goes a long way! I’m glad I’ll be saving money in the long run by using this
I absolutely love this soap block! It smells fantastic and only takes a small amount to get a nice lather. It’s very gentle on the hands but my favorite part is the scent! I’m waiting for the stone to come back in stock.
Even though this soap says it's lemongrass scented, it smells like straight up fruit loops! It is effective once you get enough on your cloth/sponge, but that does take some. It's lasted me about 1.5 months of handwashing dishes and I would say I have 1/2-2/3 of the bar left. It's not a bad price for the amount you get, and if you like the scent, you'll be satisfied!
I love this soap! Cleans well, smells lovely, use it as hand soap in the kitchen too. And as someone who enjoys the ritual is cleaning..the soap and eco scrubber are fun!

I've had my handheld pot scrubber for less than a month now and I am concerned about the durability of this product. I store my brush upright and away from water as the use and care instructions dictate; however, the wooden handle is cracked near the bristles and the bristles keep falling out. I hope this is simply part of a break in process and the pot scrubber will last for months to come. The scrubber does tackle grease and burnt food extremely well and provides a great soapy lather!
Hi Meghan,
Thanks so much for sharing your experience with this product! Your feedback is really useful - we'll be sure to pass it along to the manufacturer to improve the product in the future. There's certainly some fine-tuning that comes along with creating a durable biodegradable product!
Also - I realized upon reading your message that it might not have been clear in our original instructions that upright in this case means bristles pointing down, handle facing up! So I do want to clarify that in case you thought we meant bristles pointing upright, which could result in the wood near where the bristles attach to deteriorate more quickly from water, causing bristles to loosen or fall out.
I hope this helps! Feel free to email us if you have any additional questions/concerns!
Warmly,
Summer from Eco Collective
This scrubber is super effective especially on pans with burnt bits and a great replacement for steel wool/Brillo pads!
It’s super stiff at first but relaxes a bit after some use so works perfectly! Works great in tandem with the loofah
Works so well on hard to clean stuff and works great to hold suds from a bar of dish soap. Love it.
Stainless steel safety razor
Over 2 billion disposable plastic razors are thrown out each year in the U.S. alone. A safety razor is a fantastic alternative to disposable razors, and this one can last you a lifetime. This attractive stainless steel razor is appropriate for all your shaving needs, regardless of your gender.
As women, we got sick of paying more for our razors just because they’re pink and come with fancy features (that we were never quite convinced were necessary). We bring you this sleek alternative. It’s unisex, easy to travel with, and reusable for a lifetime. Blades are just $2.25 for a set of 10!
For more info on bundled products:
Allow the weight of the razor to guide you; never press down with the razor head or drag it across your skin like you might with a disposable razor. Use a shaving soap for best results. When you follow these tips, you'll have a cleaner, safer shave. To travel, simply remove the blade. Dry off the razor after each use and replace the blade when it becomes dull; Bea Johnson says her sons take the razor head apart to let the blade dry after every shave, and the blades last them for an impressive 6 months!
Stainless steel.
None. Blades come wrapped in paper.
Manufactured in China through an environmentally conscious factory.
The safety razor should last a lifetime if you take care of it properly.
Replacement blades can be sharpened with denim and eventually recycled.
We recommend collecting used blades in a closed metal container for safety since they are sharp and could be hazardous to you or anyone else handling them on their way to be recycled. Blades fit well in our 2 oz screw top tin, or you can use something you have at home.
To recycle the blades, we have a few suggestions...
This razor is the best razor I’ve ever used. It’s my first safety razor (instead of like a disposable razor or electric razor), and I love it soo much. It gives such a clean shave, and I only nicked myself a few times on the legs, tbh not too bad for the first time using it! The only thing I would change is the handle, if it had better grip/wasn’t so smooth I think it could make the razor overall better. I 100% recommended this razor though, and it’s a great small step to take in being more eco-friendly :)
This razor worked very well with the shaving soap from Eco Collective; I haven't tried the razor yet with other shaving soaps/creams. The razor left my skin much more smooth and bump-free compared to disposable razors, which was pleasantly surprising. Not sure yet how many times I can shave with the same razor knife before it starts nicking the skin, but I will learn as I go!
I was so excited to pick up this razor from Eco Collective - it's great that they're still offering pick up during COVID. It was a quick & safe handoff & I took my razor home. I was very nervous my first time shaving & went very slowly but it turned out amazing! Didn't cut myself once & my legs were more smooth than I've ever been able to get them with a Venus razor. Since then I've been slowly getting more confident in my shaving abilities, have cut myself twice but it hasn't deterred me. The key, I think, is showering in hot water to relax your hair follicles, using lots of soap or shaving cream & not adding any weight to the razor. I take the pieces apart to let them dry after every use, and so far, no rust. I'm so happy I was able to buy from a local business and continue eliminating plastic from my life.
I was nervous about trying this, but I made it through my first shave without nicking myself and my legs feel SO SMOOTH! Love!
I had been very nervous to try the safety razor. I finally used all the razors I had on hand and decided it was time. It is a bit of an investment, at first. However, it is a high quality that should last you a life time and the blade replacements are so cheap! Before my first use, I watched a couple of YouTube videos on how to use properly and safely. I have found that short strokes with a delicate pressure works perfectly. I did nick my legs during the first use, but like I said there is a learning curve. My advice would be to use our when you have plenty of time to do it carefully. I take my razor apart are each use and rinse thoroughly and store in a dry place. This has proven to keep the razor and blade in top shape for long lasting use. Highly recommend!
