I’ve had this brush for about 3 months now, using it daily. Bristles haven’t worn down much and it’s in good condition overall. The handle however sucks! Within about a month and half of using it, the brush head was getting wobbly as the metal part that holds the brush head was pulling out of the handle. Then just last week the metal part of the handle which hold the brush head in place just totally fell out of the handle (see pic). I was able to shove it back in and give it a few bangs, but it’s still very wobbly. I really thought the handle would last for hopefully years, not months. Pretty disappointed. The brush head itself is very good though.
Love this brush; it's soft enough for all my dishes, but thick enough bristles to keep its shape and remove grime. Really happy with this and like the grip. Mad I didn't switch sooner!
These have been great for cleaning food off our cast iron and carbon steel pans. The bristles are just stiff enough to remove any stuck on bits but soft enough to work into all the corners.
I recently bought the wooden brush head (without the handle because they were sold out) in an attempt to make my kitchen more eco-friendly. Even without the handle, I absolutely love it. I use a combination of the brush, and a loofah for cup edges and such. The brush is sturdy, and the bristles aren't too soft or hard on dishes. I would say, for the stuck on stuff (pizza cheese I'm looking at you) you would need something sturdier, like a scraper, but otherwise this brush is everything! The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because within the first 2 days of using it, the wood starting warping a bit and even cracked in places. So far, this hasn't been an issue with smell or bristles falling out, but I'm sure mold will start growing there in the future. I have never let it soak in water, and I leave it to dry on a dry surface. Overall, I definitely recommend it and will most likely be buying more in the future, just wish the wood didn't crack and warp so quickly.
I use this without a handle because they were sold out when I went in. I'm honestly glad I got it without a handle because it makes it easier to dry and work with.
I was a little hesitant about this block due to the other reviewer that said it was too strong smelling for the kitchen, but I am pleasantly surprised with not only the smell (it could even be stronger for my liking, it somewhat seems to come and go) but I'm impressed with ability to clean and degrease and does not leave a residue. I don't notice needing anymore scrubbing than I typically would with my go-to dish soap the Meyer's Clean Day. I am looking forward to trying this over the next several months. Thanks!
I LOVE THIS SOAP. I'm transitioning away from plastics and this is a great alternative to liquid dish soap packaged in plastic. I cook a lot at home so I end up washing dishes quite a bit as well by hand. Even so this block lasted over 3 months, washing 1-3 sinkfuls of dishes daily and using for hand washing. It works great on all dishes whether you're using for pots and pans or nice glassware. The scent is very light and nice, and the soap doesn't dry out my hands the way other soaps do. I've even turned my mom onto this product! Can't say enough good things
It felt like I had to scrub pretty hard under scalding hot water to get oil and grease off of my dishes. It lathers nicely and does last a long time, but after a few months I gave up and had to switch back to regular dish soap.
This is a wonderful zero waste alternative to what has become standard, liquid soap. This soap block is easy to use and lasts a long time!
love this soap for my dishes. It smells wonderful and cleans everything great! I would recommend this to everyone. There are no streaks on my classes!
This toner is so refreshing and light! I use it in the morning before I put sunscreen on, or in the afternoon as a refresher especially if I've been sweaty. Non-drying and leaves your face feeling clean and tightened!
I bought the 10 fl oz rosewater spray bottle and it's now a staple in my skin routine - I love it! Feels so refreshing and I love that I can reuse the bottle again.
I had been buying rose water previously and couldn't be happier to find this less expensive, bulk alternative with less plastic! It felt slightly more astringent than the product I had previously purchased the first few times I used it, but my dry sensitive skin hasn't reacted poorly to this and I no longer notice when applying. In my opinion I'm not sure why you would need something to apply it as in the instructions, I just spray directly onto my face and follow immediately with a drop of rosehip oil and then moisturizer.
I have never used facial toner before, but so far I've been very happy! Combined with Eco Collective's abyss facial bar and their jojoba oil, my skin has been very happy, and I have had minimal breakouts. When I do have a breakout, it clears up very quick!
I’ve been using my bag for over a year now and am so impressed by it. I love how compact it can get and how much stuff it can hold. I always get compliments on my bag when I use it for groceries, running errands, or at the gym.
I love these bags! They fold up really small, so you can keep one in your purse or in your glove box, so that you’re never without a bag. Perfect for the beach , great for groceries, ideal for travel. I bought some for myself and, I was so impressed with the quality, I bought more for my friends.
I would love it if one would be created with a small zipped pocket... y’know, somewhere to keep your lip balm
I use this bag for everything from a shower bag to hold all my stuff (i'm in college) to hauling my post office packages to shopping (grocery, retail, etc.). It can also be folded down to such a small size so it's easily portable. I was waiting to get this type of bag for such a long time and this price of $8.99 is the best one you'll find for an organic ecobag.
I havnt been on these for a full month yet but i can say that they taste good, a little bit on the chewier side but thats not an issue. I appreciate the reusable packaging they provide and most likely will be back for a refill! I havnt gotten sick either so i think thats a good sign!
I love these immunity gummies. They taste great and are such a good way to get a little
immunity boost. I feel like they love me whenever I take them and carry that with me all
I absolutely love the ability to fill up my handsoap dispensers right at Eco Collective in non-Covid19 times . . . but just as easy was purchasing this same soap in a returnable glass jar (deposit to be refunded) and filling up dispensers at all the sinks around my house. Wonderful! And great quality soap as well!
My morning skincare routine is a mist of the rosewater toner and then a few drops of argan oil (both from the bulk section) to moisturize my face and then I layer on a small amount of this tinted SPF. It's kind of shiny at first but then absorbs into my skin and is very moisturizing. It gives me a dewy look which I like. I have pretty fair skin and the product looks dark in the tin but the the color doesn't really show up on my skin, whereas the face & body sunscreen (non tinted version) makes me look more pale. It doesn't substitute for makeup like the Avasol one does because it's not very pigmented. This picture is about 20 mins after applying.
Disclaimer: I am a co-owner of Eco Collective. I used to regularly purchase this product myself and loved it so much that I curated it for our shop to share with you :)
I've purchased this exact product before but from a different store, so when I bought this from ecocollective, I already knew what it would be like. The size of this tin is perfect - small enough to throw in my bag when I'm headed outside, whether to the beach/lake or just to the park for a picnic, but large enough to have a good amount of product inside (and so it doesn't get lost inside the bag :) I also now use my old empty tin in my bathroom to hold my aluminum crystal deodorant & shampoo bar from ecocollective! The product itself goes a long way - it's a really thick texture, so I've found that I don't need to use much of it to cover my face and shoulders. I used to use this as my everyday face moisturizer a few years ago, but it's definitely too thick and a little greasy for that, even for my dry Black skin. Now, I use a different daily moisturizer that has aloe vera (which has a weak natural SPF I think? Need to do more research), and for days when I'll be outside, I layer this tinted moisturizer/sunscreen on top, especially for my cheekbones/nose/shoulders where I burn the most. This layering technique works MUCH better for me and my skin. The sunscreen has a unique but nice smell, and the tint is very subtle, blending in to my skin nicely (note: I'm a mixed race Black person with medium skin tone). I liked this product enough to buy it twice, but I will probably try out some other ones when this one runs out.
I loved that this sunscreen was not in plastic and was searching for something lightweight for my daily use on my face. Unfortunately, I'm not sure that I would buy again. The tint is good, although it looks dark at first, it blends in to a nice neutral color (I have a fair complection). But the feel of the product is thick, oily and sticky. I have definitely used better all-natural sunscreens. It's wearable but not great.
I am so glad you guys have bulk liquid dish soap now! Makes me so happy to refill the last plastic container of dish soap that I purchased! Wonder how long the container will hold up . . . 10, maybe 20 years :-)
Love this product! I'll put a few drops of lavender or eucalyptus essential oils in each of these and it provides such a nice smell to our clothes without the added chemicals and dryer sheet waste! Thank you Eco Collective, these are great!
I have a front load dryer and using this helped reduce the static and I haven’t had to run the dryer twice so far for my normal loads. This is really great on for use on towels.
Works great, haven't seen any fuzz or shedding, doesn't she'll like burnt plastic like the, you know, plastic ones. Definitely heavier though, expect some thunking on light loads.
