Natural Deodorant Stick - Rosemary Mint
Have you been searching high and low for a natural deodorant that lasts longer than your bike commute? A natural, fresh scent you don’t have to reapply by the time lunch comes around? We created this with you in mind. This truly natural formula contains no harsh chemicals and leaves your skin feeling clean and fresh. The light aroma effectively neutralizes odor and is safe for all skin types.
We’d describe the rosemary mint as an herbal peppermint. It's really lovely and refreshing.
We have our formula custom made by a local soap maker and hand poured into earth-friendly compostable paper tubes - that’s right, this deodorant is fully biodegradable! [Insert happy dance here]
We also offer a lavender grapefruit scented sensitive skin formula that's baking soda free!
PS - If you’ve been following us a long time, these are our same formulas you know and love from back in the day! So excited to have these in production again. If you ever have trouble switching to natural deodorant, try our pit mask detox recipe.

End of life
Use as much as you can and then compost the entire tube.
I've been using the sensitive skin deodorant for about two months now and really wanted it to work, but it is just not for me. I gave myself plenty of time to adjust from aluminum deodorants (which made my armpits super itchy) and I just smell absolutely awful all the time, especially during my period. The deodorant itself is also kind of crumbly and while I loved the compostable paper tube, the paper started coming apart where you put the cap on after a while, making it difficult to put the cap back on. At least it's not irritating. Pretty bummed about this one, but I love every other eco collective product I've purchased, so will still be a returning customer! Just wanted to say this product might not work for everyone.
I've tried the alum stone, I've tried making my own deodorant, and this option is by far the best. It allows me to sweat but it doesn't lose effectiveness once I'm sweating, like the alum stone did. The only problem is that it is so difficult to apply! I don't know if my particular tube got dried out somehow but it is more powdery than paste. I've had to spread a little coconut oil over the top to keep it from chafing my armpits and causing irritation when I apply it. It also crumbles when you apply it directly from the tube, so I feel like I am losing some of the product to the floor. I will keep using it because it actually works but I think the formula needs to be adjusted a bit to have more coconut oil or shea butter so it goes on more smoothly.
I LOVE the lavender grapefruit sensitive skin deodorant. I have tried many natural deodorants now, and the first handful all ended up giving my armpits terrible rashes after a couple weeks of use. I found that it was the baking soda in most natural deodorants that my skin couldn't handle. This is only the second natural deodorant I've found that works for my skin - and the first in the form of a stick! The other is a jar that requires using your fingers to apply, making this one easily the winner. This is my new go-to deodorant, and if you've had trouble finding natural deodorants that your skin can handle, I highly suggest you try it!
I have been searching for years for a deodorant that doesn't irritate my skin. FINALLY the search is over! Not only is this deodorant great but I love the compostable container and the fact that when I am done I can drop the cardboard container into my composter and not have un-recyclable plastic to deal with. Also great that I know what each of the ingredients are that are listed on the container...no more wondering what I am putting on (and ultimately in) my body!
So I give this product 10 starts for the idea, but in use I'd give it a 2. Its so hard that it's almost impossible to rub on to underarms with out ripping at your skin. We've tried other waste free deodorants that do rub on smoothly which is great, I wished yours worked because i do love your store.
Hi Grace, thank you so much for being our customer, and we sincerely apologize for this experience. Our last batch of deodorants were mis-formulated and we unfortunately did sell a few before realizing this and pulling them from our shelves. We are currently reformulating this product and will have the updated version in store soon.
We'll reach out to you directly with options to make up for this experience.
Sincerely, Summer from Eco Collective
